The 9th Blue Growth Piraeus Innovation Competition took place on Wednesday, October 23rd. The competition included 27 teams, aiming to promote sustainable innovation in the maritime sector. It was organized by the Municipality of Piraeus, under the auspices of the University of Piraeus, and coordinated by Blue Innovators of Piraeus with Break-Even Consulting.
Our new venture Angelfish was awarded third place, receiving a €2,000 prize. Dr. Christoforos Rekatsinas accepted the award on behalf of Angelfish from the Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Mr. Stefanos Gikas. This recognition reflects Greece’s efforts in supporting maritime innovation and sustainable development. The Demokritos Innovation Office is pleased to support startups like Angelfish, contributing to advancements in the maritime industry through research and sustainable solutions.
