Sotiris is a Certified Data Protection Officer by TuV Nord - TuV Hellas. Has experience in Legal Services with a demonstrated history of working in liquidation projects . He is skilled in International Commercial Law, E -Commerce, Intellectual Property Law, Trademark Infringement, and European Law. Strong legal professional with a Master of Laws (LLM) focused in Intellectual Property and Digital Economy from The University of Glasgow.

Varvara is an economist specializing in sustainable development and innovation, with extensive experience in managing international projects within corporate environments and with international organizations. She has experience inter alia in policy analysis, gender equality, and women entrepreneurship, having worked in multicultural settings in over 4 countries. Over the last 6 years, she has supported businesses and new ventures to grow, receive funding, and internationalize.

Currently, as an Innovation Consultant at our Innovation Office, she focuses on technology transfer and the commercialization of research outcomes. Leveraging her expertise, she facilitates the transition of research findings into viable commercial ventures, driving innovation and economic growth.

Antigoni has a strong background in Life and Health Sciences and a deep commitment to serving research. She graduated from the Chemistry Department of the University of Athens and received her PhD in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology in the USA. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a passion for driving innovation, fostering research, and contributing to the growth of scientific and technological advancements. Leveraging her extensive experience, she has transitioned to the technology transfer sector as an Intellectual Property Officer. In this role, she ensures that the scientific and technological innovations at Demokritos are properly protected and contributes to the initial phases of transferring advanced technologies from lab to market.

Katerina holds two Master of Science Degrees in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science and a PhD in Environmental Engineering and Industrial Simulation. She has previously served as innovation manager in several industries such as Vivechrom, Vivartia and Agrino in R&D domain. Additionally, she has held a position as a researcher in NTUA and CERTH, contributing to several publications and actively participating in R&D projects funded by EC and National Resources. Currently, she works as scientific programme officer in the Innovation Office of NCSRD providing fundraising services to the researchers of the centre and the companies hosted in Lefkippos Tech park.

Dr. Gatos has received his Electrical Engineering Diploma and his Ph.D. degree, both from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of Democritus University of Thrace, Xanthi, Greece. His Ph.D. thesis is on Optical Character Recognition Techniques. In 1993 he was awarded a scholarship from the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications, NCSR "Demokritos", where he worked till 1996. From 1997 to 1998 he worked as a Software Engineer at Computer Logic S.A. From 1998 to 2001 he worked at Lambrakis Press Archives as a Director of the Research Division in the field of digital preservation of old newspapers. From 2001 to 2003 he worked at BSI S.A. as Managing Director of R&D Division in the field of document management and recognition. He is currently working as a Researcher at the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications of the National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos", Athens, Greece. His main research interests are in Image Processing and Document Image Analysis, OCR and Pattern Recognition. He has more than 150 publications in journals and international conference proceedings and has participated in several research programs funded by the European community.

Dr. Konstantoudis has received a degree in physics from the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1989. Then, he continued his postgraduate studies in the Institute of Theoretical and Physical Chemistry, National Hellenic Research Foundation, Athens, Greece, where he worked on the theory and applications of nonlinear and chaotic systems. He received the PhD degree from the University of Athens, Greece, with a thesis on the nonlinear dynamics of magnetic systems in 1999. After two years post-doctoral research in the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, where he worked on applications of chaotic dynamics to laser induced molecular dissociation processes, he became a member of the plasma group in the Institute of Microelectronics, National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos”, Aghia Paraskevi, Attiki, Greece, where he is currently working. Since then, his main research interest has been in the problem of roughness characterization, formation, simulation, theoretical description and application on nanoscale. He has investigated it in both microlithography and plasma etching processes. He is an author of 70 publications which have been cited by third party more than 450 times 

Dr. Athanasios Stubos, Research Director, holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece (1984) as well as a PhD in Applied Sciences from the Von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics, Univ. Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium (1990) and he has over 30 years’ experience in heat & mass transfer processes for a wide range of applications spanning from gas storage/separations, enhanced oil recovery, depollution technologies, biomaterials, nuclear reactor safety, characterization of underground reservoirs and soil decontamination, giving lately strong emphasis on hydrogen technologies.
He heads the Environmental Research Laboratory since 2001 and as of November 2013, he is also acting as the Director of the Institute of Nuclear & Radiological Sciences & Technology, Energy & Safety (INRASTES) of NCSR “Demokritos”. Dr. A. Stubos has served as Vice President of the Center for Renewable Energy Sources (CRES) and Vice President of the NCSR “Demokritos”. He has undertaken on behalf of the EC activities to promote the cooperation between Europe and member states of the International Partnership for the Hydrogen Economy while he is currently the National Representative of Greece at the Joint Undertaking for Fuel Cells and Hydrogen of the EC (FCH JU).
He has coordinated several EU funded and national energy related projects as well as a number of international collaborative industrial ventures in the United States and Belgium, whereas he has acted as Scientist in Charge at NCSR “Demokritos” for a large number of national and international research projects. He has co-authored more than 180 publications in peer reviewed journals and 24 chapters in books/international editions (more than 4,800 citations; h index: 33 – Scopus) as well as appr. 250 contributions to international and national conferences.

Periklis Terlixidis is a Chemical Engineer (NTU Athens) with post-graduate studies in
Macromolecular materials (INSA Lyon). Owner of two international patents for new cushion
packaging products of Dow Chemical Company.
Having worked in top management positions for international companies such as Dow
Chemical, L’Oreal, and Hyundai Motors, allowed him to offer independent consulting on
strategic planning and business development. He has been working for more than 20 years
on consulting services, related to Business Process Reengineering (BPR), Business Planning
and implementation, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applying data-driven
decision-making. For the last 10 years, he has focused on the potential of technology transfer
from research to the industry and society in the domain of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Vassilis is a technology entrepreneur with over 25 years of hands-on experience across various industry sectors. He likes building things, exploring ideas, and connecting people. He is a co-founder and partner of Blue Dome Capital, an investment manager seeking to capture emerging opportunities in technology transfer and innovation-driven ventures in Central & South-Eastern Europe. He is the co-founder of Mobiltron, Inc, a technology company developing a next-generation user authentication platform using behavioral biometrics for mobile applications. He is a partner of Sylipsis, Inc, a company helping researchers move their ideas from the lab to the market and providing managed technology development as a service. Vassilis consults the Boards of various organizations on issues related to technology and innovation. He currently sits on the Board of Fasmatech, a startup developing mass spectroscopy technology, and VIORYL, a chemical engineering company. Previously, he was on the Board of Metis Cybertechnologies, a company developing vessel performance solutions, and helped the investors achieve a 3X exit. He is the co-founder and Vice-Chairman of the MIT Enterprise Forum Greece, the Greek chapter of an MIT-inspired global network, enabling technology entrepreneurs to rapidly transform ideas into world-changing companies. He is the co-founder and Treasurer of the Hellenic Innovation Network, Inc, a Boston-based charity that supports the entrepreneurial growth of the Greek and Cypriot tech ecosystem. He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering from NTUA and Ocean Systems Management from MIT. Marina is an Assistant Professor in Intellectual Property Law at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands and attorney-at-law qualified in Greece. I am also an Adjunct Lecturer of Law at the University of Nicosia and at the University of Piraeus. She specialises in Intellectual Property law and Cultural Heritage Law and advise on all contentious and non-contentious matters in these areas.

She is also a member of ISCHAL, ALAI Greece and EUROPEANA Copyright Community Steering Group.
She often participates as a legal expert in many European programs. As an academic, she focuses primarily on intellectual property law (Copyright, Trademarks, Industrial Designs, Patents) and on cultural heritage law.

Natalia is an administrative assistant at the Lefkippos Technology Park of NCSR "D", with previous roles at several universities in Athens. She holds a BA in Business Administration and Tourism Management. Natalia excels in managing administrative tasks, coordinating operations, and supporting organizational efficiency.

Pinelopi is an administrative and operational assistant with a robust academic background, including an MBA in Marketing, a Master's in Pharmaceutical Technology, and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. She also holds an ISO 9000:2000 inspector certificate. With extensive training and expertise, she excels in streamlining operations, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring compliance with Public Administration regulations.

Panayiota works as an Administrative Assistant at the Innovation Dpt/Office of NCSR Demokritos helping with organizational support. She is a graduate of the Dpt of Social Policy at Panteion University where she also obtained her MSc in Analysis and Application of Social Policy. Her working experience includes data analysis and archiving at the National Centre of Social Research, the Hellenic Statistical Authority and the Department of Social Policy. She has also worked as a researcher in the consulting industry, supporting municipalities to implement technological solutions.

Giannis is a graduate of the School of Engineering at the University of West Attica, from the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics. He has been involved in technical support and repair of computers and audio systems and works at NCSR "D" since January 2022 in the technical support team of the Conference Center and Lefkippos Technology Park, as well as in user support for the Directorate of Administrative and Financial Services.

Dimitris is a graduate of the Dpt of Computer & Informatics Engineering at Patras University. He also obtained his MSc in "Advanced Informatics and Computing Systems - Software Development" at Piraeus University. He has been involved in IT Solutions and Audio & Visual systems at NCSR "D" since January 2015. From 2018 he took the position as Head of Technical Support team of Conference Centre and “Lefkippos” Technology Park. Furthermore, he works in the HelpDesk for the Directorate of Administrative and Financial Services.
