ENIRISST

EN.I.R.I.S.S.T. is a unique and pioneering Research Infrastructure that aims to fill a significant existing research gap in the fields of Shipping, Supply Chain and Transport in Greece. It combines the collection and processing of data (with the aim of protecting privacy and copyright), the development of innovative models and programming techniques, the development of useful applications, secure and user-friendly, and finally the development of digital observatories aimed at supporting public and private stakeholders (businesses, public bodies, research organizations, etc.). In this way, the vision of EN.I.R.I.S.S.T. is to become a center of excellence that will promote and support research in its scientific fields.

PANACEA

PANhellenic infrastructure for Atmospheric Composition and climatE chAnge (PANACEA) is envisioned to become the high-class, integrated Research Infrastructure (RI) for atmospheric composition and climate change not only for Greece, but also for southern Europe and eastern Mediterranean, an area that is acknowledged as a hot spot for climate change. The RI is designed to be in full compliance with EU Regulation 651/26.6.2014 and act as the Greek component of ACTRIS/ESFRI (Aerosols, Clouds and Trace gases Research Infrastructure) and ICOS/ESFRI (Integrated CO2 Observation System).PANACEA addresses the need for monitoring of atmospheric composition, solar radiation variations, climate change and related natural hazards in Greece, and for providing tailored services to crucial national economy sectors that are affected by air pollution and climate change, such as public health, agriculture/food security, tourism, shipping and energy/ renewablesPANACEA will act as a hub for the next generation of environmental scientists and attract promising young researchers for research and industry, bridge science with industry and entrepreneurship, induce new local jobs, new investments and market at national, EU and international level, in line with EU priorities.PANACEA is implemented under the action “Reinforcement of the Research and Innovation Infrastructure”, funded by the operational programme “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation” (NSRF 2014-2020) and cofinanced by Greece and the European Union (European Regional Development Fund).

INSPIRED-Ris

INSPIRED is a national distributed research infrastructure unique in the field of Structural Biology that combines studies on bioactive (macro)molecules interactions and biomarkers identification. It offers services mainly in the field of biology, diagnostics and pharmacology, addressing the needs of the health sector with significant impact on agrofood and concerns a large number of organizations (potential users and collaborators). It bridges basic research with the Industry and SMEs supporting innovative actions by either providing services or in the frame of funded programmes. It comprises two complementary infrastructures: INSTRUCT-EL | UPAT-RISF INSPIRED addresses the needs of the field of Health Sciences and Pharmaceuticals. The partners cover all the Greek Regions. It is a distributed Research Infrastructure across Greece.

APOLLONIS

APOLLONIS is the national infrastructure that supports and promotes digital humanities and arts, as well as language technology and innovation in Greece. It is part of the Action "Strengthening Research and Innovation Infrastructures" and is funded by the Operational Program "Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation" within the framework of the NSRF 2014-2020, co-financed by Greece and the European Union (European Regional Development Fund).

OPENSCREEN-GR

OPENSCREEN-GR is a national open access infrastructure, that serves as a link amongst partners who share the same goal: facilitating researchers’ access to resources, services, tools and utilities to support high quality research. OPENSCREEN-GR undertakes and coordinates its activities, including the creation, development and maintenance of (i) an open access National Chemical Biology Infrastructure that collects and manages natural extracts and compounds of natural and synthetic origin, and (ii) a central database with the evaluation results implemented by the infrastructure. Main goal is the coordination of high quality equipment services, through access to OPENSCREEN-GR resources and services, technology research and development, consulting services, as well as training and skills development. WE OFFER | access to laboratories with specialized equipment, open access database, training & education programs, open collaborative framework in fields of Chemistry and Biology

CALIBRA

The CALIBRA project at a glance The CALIBRA project (MIS 5002799) is implemented under the Action “Reinforcement of the Research and Innovation Infrastructures” which is funded by the Operational Programme “Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation” (NSRF 2014-2020) and co-financed by Greece and the European Union (European Regional Development Fund). CALIBRA is implemented at the Tandem Accelerator Laboratory of the Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics (INPP), one of the five research institutes of the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos”, Athens, Greece. The project had its kickoff meeting in November 6, 2017, that was attended by more than 60 scientists from 17 Greek research performing institutions and state organizations. CALIBRA stands for “Cluster of Accelerator Laboratories for Ion-Beam Research and Applications”, which is the title of the proposal submitted in 2013 to the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT), the Greek funding agency, within its call for the establishment of the national roadmap of research infrastructures. The CALIBRA proposal has been evaluated by an international expert committee as an excellent proposal with a score of 19/20. This score ranked CALIBRA in the top ten position in the list of 75 evaluated proposals that were submitted by scientists from all scientific disciplines. The project aims at establishing and operating an accelerator-based research infrastructure open to the national and the European scientific community to conduct research at excellence level, develop innovative applications of increased socioeconomic impact, provide highly-specialized services, unique at the country level, to the public and private sector. CALIBRA strives for contribution to the goals of the National Strategy in Research and Technology regarding the country’s thematic priorities for smart specialization (RIS3), with emphasis in human health and radiopharmaceuticals, future energy sources, materials of technological interest, cultural heritage, environmental monitoring and the development of instrumentation and its testing under harsh irradiation environments.
