NCSR “DEMOKRITOS” was proud to participate in the International Technology Delegation to Flanders and ITFWorld, a unique opportunity to engage with key stakeholders, explore cutting-edge innovations, and strengthen connections across the international semiconductor, AI, and deep-tech ecosystem.
Hosted by FIT – Flanders Investment & Trade, the mission brought together innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, and technology organizations from across Europe, creating a dynamic environment for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and future partnerships.
As part of the delegation, participants had the opportunity to visit some of Flanders’ leading innovation hubs, including imec, IDLab (UGent – imec), Tech Lane Ghent Science Park, and The Brain – AI Tech Hub, gaining first-hand insights into world-class semiconductor research, AI development, technology transfer practices, and successful deep-tech commercialization models.
This international mission brought together participants from Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Luxembourg, and Spain. Greece was strongly represented, with participants including our very own Varvara Vasilaki, Head of the Technology Transfer Office, Innovation Department (DEMOKRITOS Innovation) at NCSR “DEMOKRITOS”.
