INVESTech Project: Announcement of the 1st newsletter

We are excited to present the inaugural newsletter of the INVESTech project, an ambitious initiative aimed at enhancing vocational education and training (VET) in the ICT sector across five European regions (Greece, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Lithuania and Cyprus). By leveraging the Quintuple Helix framework, INVESTech seeks to foster collaboration among academia, industry, public sector, civil society, and the natural environment.

Key Objectives of INVESTech:

  • Establish Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) in Slovakia, Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, and Lithuania.
  • Promote skills development and innovative technology usage.
  • Support green transition and social inclusion.
  • Facilitate international collaboration and best practice exchanges.

Highlights from the First Newsletter:

  • Kick-off Meeting: Held on April 24-25, 2024, at the Technical University of Košice, Slovakia, bringing together over forty experts to lay the foundation for this groundbreaking initiative.
  • Study Visit in IT Valley: Organized by IT VALLEY in Košice on April 26, 2024, this visit allowed participants to exchange best practices and enhance their educational strategies.
  • National Workshops: These workshops aim to present the project to stakeholders, gather feedback, and foster interest in national CoVE establishments. The first workshop was held in Slovakia on May 24, 2024, with upcoming workshops scheduled in Bulgaria, Lithuania, Greece, and Cyprus in autumn 2024.
