The Innovation Department at NCSR “DEMOKRITOS”​ continued the Meet the Labs initiative — a program designed to strengthen the connection between cutting-edge research teams and the innovative companies of Lefkippos Attica Technology Park.

This time, we had the pleasure of visiting the Clean Room Facility, where the insightful Dr. Vassilis Vamvakas introduced us to the work of the Nanotechnology and Microsystems Laboratory and its role in enabling advanced device fabrication and experimentation.

We also met with the visionary Dr. Polycarpos Falaras, who shared his team’s pioneering work on nanotechnology processes for solar energy conversion and environmental protection, covering topics such as solar cells and photocatalysis.

The Meet the Labs initiative is all about unlocking opportunities for collaboration, tech transfer, and deeper engagement between science and industry — bringing research closer to the market and sparking meaningful innovation.
